Jonathan Feldman

Pianist Jonathan Feldman has performed with artists including Nathan Milstein, Itzhak Perlman, James Galway, Joshua Bell, Midori, and Gil Shaham (on Live from Lincoln Center). He has performed on many New York Philharmonic Ensembles concerts at Merkin Hall, and has appeared with the Orchestra at David Geffen Hall and on international tours. He joined the collaborative piano department at The Juilliard School in 1989 (and has been chairman since 1991) and New England Conservatory collaborative piano faculty in Fall 2011. He has given master classes throughout the United States and the Far East, lectured at international festivals and competitions, and participated in many music festivals, notably Santa Barbara’s Music Academy of the West, where he has been director of the collaborative piano program since 2005. Recent recordings on Avie Records also feature his wife, Philharmonic Principal Flutist Judith LeClair, and Principal Flutist Robert Langevin. He has also recorded for Angel/EMI, Columbia Masterworks, DGG, RCA Red Seal, Naxos, Nonesuch, Summit, and Cala Records. He can be heard on sound tracks including Music of the Heart and The Man Who Wasn’t There.
