Violin

Violist Bethany Hargreaves has performed as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician across North America, Europe, China, and Israel. She has collaborated in concert with distinguished musicians such as Jennifer Frautschi, Miriam Fried, William Hagen, Yoojin Jang, Ani Kavafian, Dimitri Murrath, Itzhak Perlman, Vicki Powell, Stella Chen, and members of the Aizuri, Borromeo, Brentano, Cleveland, Dover, Emerson, and Orion String Quartets. Her most recent engagements include performances with The Cleveland Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Yale School of Music Faculty Artist Series, guest Principal of the Sarasota Orchestra, and stepping in on two day’s notice to perform with the Emerson String Quartet at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. Hargreaves’ festival appearances include the Aspen, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, Kneisel Hall, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and New Music Workshop, Olympic Music Festival, Taos School of Music, Toronto Summer Music Festival, and the Perlman Music Program. Her principal teachers include Misha Amory, Ettore Causa, Heidi Castleman, and Jeffrey Irvine, and is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, The Juilliard School as a Kovner Fellow, and the Yale School of Music as a Stephen and Denise Adams Fellowship and Grosvenor Memorial Prize for Viola Accomplishment recipient.
